The Great Book of Skye 2

The first Great Book of Skye (2014) opened by asserting that the island’s “people, their families and the full context of their beings” are salient to an understanding of the island community. This supplementary volume is based on the same proposition and, while the material here is new, it is linked to the 2014 volume through cross-references and citations in a way which does not preclude this book standing, or falling, on its own.  In it, the islanders of Skye are presented as active agents in their own story and a wider objective remains, beyond providing a good read. That aim is to suggest new areas of research and sources for future work and study, both for academic and personal reasons. Hardback, 340 pages
